BOOTY BUILDING CARDIO PART 1
Cardio ahhh, now before I scare you off with the word cardio and burpees, here is a modified version to help shape your glutes, maintain sound technique and elevate your heart rate so you can burn some fat!
Why Glute burpees?
For each burpee you perform you will also complete 1 squat + 1 jump squat which is a great exercise for your butt. In my opinion these are much safer for girls as most don't have the upper body strength to perform full burpees without a hyperextended posture.
This means if you do 50 Glute Burpees you're also completing 100 squats!
I apologise for the disturbing visuals you just had to endure of me doing glute burpees and my one man film crew for the awful angle… But hey you get the idea!
HOW TO GLUTE BURPEE
1. Perform a deep squat with your shoulders back and eyes up
2. Kick your feet back and keep your core tight
3. Control your upper body with straight arms and don't allow the shoulder blades to collapse
4. Jump back into a deep squat with your chest up
5. Jump straight up driving through your toes to complete the jump squat and burpee
What's a good Booty Burpee workout?
Beginner- 5 x 15 : 30 seconds rest
Intermediate- 10 x 10 : 10 Seconds rest
Advanced- 100 for time
They're also a great circuit addition or to finish off your session
