THE REAL SECRET TO GETTING FIT
Have you been wanting to step up your fitness lately?
Maybe you have fallen off the health and fitness train BUT feel like you don’t have the time to get back on.
I know fitness is one of those things that requires daily attention, but it DOESNT have to feel that hard.
“Why does it feel so difficult in the beginning?”
“Is it always going to feel this challenging?”
I remember when I first started writing nutrition plans, I would spend hour's putting together the most elaborate programs, thinking my client would be shredded in 12 weeks!
What was the result?
To be honest the results were awful!
All I cared about was getting my clients in shape, they told me they were motivated and wanted to FOLLOW the plan so what gives?
“Motivation will get you started, habits will keep you going”
It’s my job to bring people from fat to fit, weak to strong and the hard ass approach works with less people than you'd think.
The best way to elicit long term fat loss is to focus on changing habits.
That’s why 28 challenges work so well…
It’s not overwhelming and a perfect way to start moulding the habits of a fit person. I’ve found anyone can apply themselves for 28 days and when they see results they want to keep going.
It’s a sneaky way of getting clients the results they really want.
Remember 1 change of habit per week is a brand new person in 12 weeks.
Here are my top tips for habit change
-Start slow, focus on one thing at time, you need to feel like you’re winning.
-Pick things with the highest return on investment eg. Hydration, sleep, whole foods, fish oil, vitamin D and other force multipliers.
-Replace an old habit with a new one.
-Write down a plan with an end goal.
-Share your goal with someone who will keep you accountable(You know that annoying person who will remind when you slack off)
-Use tracking apps, I use “the habit list” it took me from reading 1-2 x per week to finishing nearly 3 books a week!
-Eliminate toxic people. You know those people who see that you’re TRYING so hard to stick to your new eating plan and shove ice cream in your face, then tell you to skip the gym.
-Stay positive, unfortunately school taught us how to calculate the square root of 99(How useful…) but forgot the part on how to break poor habits. Look, it’s not easy BUT stay positive and keep your written goal in mind.
